Vintage lover, and passionate collector. Curious about history, design, and all things artistic.

WELCOME! Bohemian Trading Company ™ is a reflection of my long-time love affair with antique and vintage jewelry.

To many people a Bohemian is an artist or writer who leads an unconventional life…I love the idea of creating your own path.

My Etsy shop is also about a place, Bohemia. At one time, it was the great manufacturing source of costume jewelry in Central Europe. As time and boundaries changed, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), Germany, and Austria shared the distinction of being the essential source for American costume jewelry designers. Miriam Haskell, Schiaparelli, Trifari, Mazer, Weiss, Kramer, and Alice Caviness (to name a few) sourced their components for seasonal collections from Central Europe.

My shop is also dedicated to the idea of craftsmanship and design. As my journey in life has unfolded, I have come to realize the importance of those two concepts in my own sense of style. I embrace the idea of a visual feast!

And while styles come and go, the bones of good design and how an item is made is something that fuels my passion.

Here you will find selections to stimulate your own concept of adornment. They span a range of eras and materials. My radar is tuned to Art Deco jewelry, fine Victorian jewelry, designer signed pieces, wedding and gemstone jewelry, and sterling silver--especially Native American, Scandinavian, Mexican, and enamels. All can be found here. My taste is eclectic, so curios, postcards, and collectibles will be sprinkled into the mix.

I know I am not alone when I say my heart beats fast with excitement as I forage for treasures at flea markets. My simple goal is to convey the history and beauty of these finds so that you can make them a part of your own life’s story.

Friendly customer service is my number one priority, so thanks for reading and send a message anytime!
